How to Clean Leather Storage Bench
Leather storage bench is classic, durable and a little tricky to handle. If you clean and condition leather furniture that can last for generations, but it is difficult to know what to use it. There are many products available that claim to clean leather furniture, but not all products work safely at all leather. Caring for leather is largely trial and error, so when you find a method and materials that works, stick with them. The steps below are ordered from the simplest and cheapest to the more involved and costly.
Vacuum the surface of your furniture and cushions on the lift up. Use an attachment with a soft brush on the end to prevent scratching the leather. Use unscented baby wipes to clean your leather storage bench. They usually contain lanolin, which is a natural emollient that helps moisturize the leather. Try baby wipes you decide on a small, inconspicuous part of the furniture just to be sure. Allow the sample spot to sit for 24 hours before proceeding to the rest of the furniture.
Clean your leather storage bench with homemade cleaner and conditioner. This is natural oil produced from cow bones that can be found in SADDLERY and hardware stores. Mix the solution together and put a little on a clean, white, lint-free cloth-just enough to barely moisten the cloth. Rub the leather with a dry cloth to polish it. Do not forget to do a test patch first.
